Dufort (JHOO-foe) is new to America but is no stranger to A City for God and the ministry we do. As Pastor Paul Steinberg, Executive Director of ACFG, likes to say, "Dufort is one of my bonus sons." You see, Dufort grew up on the island of Haiti. His younger siblings Mackenson and Mackencia were adopted by the Steinbergs in 2006. Nick's Story - Training Christ's Ambassadors: JUMP
Chaplain Nick Montgomery may be young to some, but his wisdom goes beyond his years. Nick's training as one of Christ's ambassadors alongside A City for God began when he was just 18 years old. He served as a summer school chaplain intern. From there, he continued his training and service with ACFG by becoming a full-time chaplain serving at two of our partner schools - HOPE Christian Schools and UP Academy. Training Christ's Ambassadors - JUMP Program
A City for God is passionate about Training Christ's Ambassadors . One main way this is accomplished is through the Joshua Urban Ministry Program (JUMP), which provides men of color in Milwaukee pastoral training from WELS seminary professors and pastors. It is the goal of ACFG to provide this training at no cost to those enrolled. However, to get someone through this program takes roughly 6 years at a total cost of about $20,000 .
